Medical disclaimer
The Folded Mind and the NeuroPsych Atlas are for education. The information here does not replace medical diagnosis, treatment or the assessment of a physician, psychologist or other health professional, and must not be used on its own for diagnostic or treatment decisions.
Drug names, doses and treatments summarize findings from the scientific literature; they are not personal advice. If you are concerned about yourself or someone close to you, contact a health professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Information is given with its sources and reviewed by the author; errors or outdated information may still occur. If you spot a mistake, write to us and we will correct it.
Terms of use
The site is free and requires no account. By using it you accept the terms below.
- Unless stated otherwise, the rights to the texts, images and design belong to Alperen Mert Çetin. Short quotations for education are allowed with attribution and a link; copying, selling or republishing all or a large part of the content requires written permission.
- The 3D model and MRI slices are derived from openly licensed brain atlases; each dataset's own license and attribution terms apply (details in Library → Data sources). The copyright notice of the MNI template must be kept in all copies.
- Book excerpts (The Green Walnut on the Couch) come from the author's unpublished book and may not be reproduced without permission.
- The rights to the studies covered in the newsletter belong to their authors and publishers; the newsletter only gives a summary and a link to the source.
- The site is provided as is. The author cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage arising from the use of the content.
- These terms may be updated when needed; the current text is always on this page.
Privacy
The site uses no cookies, has no accounts and collects no information that identifies you.
- Your preferences (language, day/night theme, panel and atlas settings) are stored only in your own browser and are never sent to us. You can remove them by clearing your browser's site data.
- Fonts (Google Fonts) and the 3D library (three.js; cdnjs and jsDelivr) are loaded from external servers. Like any web request, these servers can see your IP address and browser information.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). To serve the site and protect it from attacks, Cloudflare briefly processes technical connection data such as IP address and browser information; this may also be processed on servers in the USA.
- To see visitor numbers, an aggregate statistics tool that uses no cookies and does not identify individuals (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is used; it does not track individual visitors.
- If you email us, we use your address only to reply; we do not share it with anyone.

How this site is made
Large language models were used in preparing the code and texts of this site. The author has the final word on clinical content: every piece of information is given with its source, texts are reviewed by the author and each page shows its last review date. The 3D model is derived from openly licensed MRI atlases using scientific methods.
